In cartoons, it was hilarious to see a character in a tree, sawing a branch in the belief it would cause someone elses downfall. At some point, a look of horror would appear on the face of the branch cutter moments before they discovered they were the one about to fall. Thought you might be giving to severing a connection or arrangement could see you doing something similar. Consider seriously what you stand to lose by severing it. It might be more than you think.
